A Good Entertainment Show- SONA 2008
Related to country: Philippines

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Come July 28, 2008, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will stage another State Of the Nation Address (SONA). What has she in store for us now? After the ever famous bangkang papel and strong republic, what other new strategy does she have? What new lies does she have to say?

Once more she will be deceiving the Filipinos! She will be saying things which are contradictory to what we feel and see now! She will be making unrealistic promises and unSMART goals! Will this SONA still make an impact? or will it just be another lost of time and money? Will it make sense? or will it just be another government produced drama?

Even though I don't expect another relevant SONA i will still be waiting for what she will be saying… who knows, it might make me laugh! HAHAHAHA! She’s sometimes an effective comedian, but often times she’s a good character actress making people rage with anger and hatred! She’s just lucky that people dont feel like flocking to EDSA! Filipino’s are already tired! Tired of kicking leaders out of their office- doesn't make sense because those who seat as an alternative are still the same or even worst!

For sure she will be bragging about the dole-outs(suhol) she had distributed among the less fortunate Filipinos! It’s not our debt to her! It’s still our money that she is giving out! It should not be used against us! It’s really intended for us!

As for now, lets wait and see… as if we’re watching another stage play or the traditional sarsuela… For sure it will be a good entertainment!

A Make Believe World
Related to country: Philippines

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I miss those days when a ganta of commercial rice just costs thirty pesos, NFA rice at fourteen pesos, a kilo of pork was at a hundred pesos, and all other commodities costs less than today!

Where is our Government leading us? what is the ultimate goal of this administration? The President will again boast about her achievement! Another SONA will be staged! Another venue to stage unrealistic promises! Do they think people still believe what they are saying, or do they even believe in what they are saying?

We are in a big stage play or should I say a movie where the government would like the people to make believe! Make believe that the economy is strong! Make believe that it's citizens life is progressing! Make believe that the government could still be saved! All of these are make believe of the Arroyo Government! A make believe Government!

I believe they should not be in the government! They should be in the movies! they are good actors and directors! They're good at fooling people! They're good at gratifying the needs of themselves! The president is very good at compensating her conspirators! Her allies are good at diverting attention! all of this skills that they are showing is based on many years of experience- ripened by time!

When will real freedom be achieved by these country? When will our citizens feel the fruits of our labor? When will the promises of SONA be real? When will the sufferings of our people end? When will our officials realize that robbing the government is also robbing the citizens!

Let's accept the fact! Filipino's are suffering and the government's effort is not enough!

A growing crisis!
Related to country: Philippines

Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I miss those times when a kilo of rice was just 20 pesos, the price of pork was just 120 pesos, the price of gasoline was way too much lesser than it is today... Yes inabot ko pa po iyon!.. Its very alarming when you go to the market nowadays and when you ask how much a kilo of rice is? It now costs 38 pesos!- taking into consideration that its not of the best variety- it is even sad to say one of the least!

I can see the governments effort to lessen the burden on the consumer... but, its not only the poor who are suffering! how about the middle class society?

Philippines My Philippines!
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I don't understand why the Philippine Government does not accept the fact fact that we are having a "rice Crisis", or is this just a propaganda to divert the attention of the public from all the controversies that have struck the country?

It's all over the media, there is scarcity of rice! The international community have even said its not only happening in the country, its all over asia! It's all over the world! Then why don't we accept it? What is the reason behind all these? Is the Government afraid for this to start a new people power! Will admitting the fact hurt us all?

Its the right of every Filipino to know what is happening in his country. It's the duty of the government to let every Filipino know! How could we help the government if we don't even know what is happening?

There had been many speculations coming out! it's for the government to clear its side! Every Filipino is now watching and observing on what the government is doing to solve this problem! I am one of them! I just hope that this problem will not be taken advantage by corrupt public officials! Have pity on your fellow Filipinos! Abide by our suffering! Deliver for us what is due to us! We had long been suffering!(I guess we will always suffer!)

I juist hope that this heartless corrupt public officials will be touched by God and give back to the people what is due to them....

world health day
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

today all the world is celebrating "World Health Day"! Sad to say in this country health is not a priority of the government! How much does the government spend for every Filipino? the health care system is not really that important to them not unless they are the ones being admitted in the hospitals!
